We would like to bring special attention to a very important show happening NEXT Friday February 5th at Slim’s in the city of San Francisco… In an attempt to try n’ help generate more support for the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti, we will be playing a benefit show for the relief organization Direct Relief International, alongside the bands Dead to Me, King City, and Love Songs… The event itself is an ALL AGES affair with 100% of the proceeds going towards relief efforts in Haiti and so, we ask those of you that are able to make this event, to please join us for an exceptional night of music and positive action on behalf of those whom are truly in need… A lot of people are pulling together to make this event a reality (with such the immediacy of the need in Haiti), that we would like to specifically thank the show organizer Keith Douglas, the folks at Slim’s, and the folks at D.R.I. for taking upon this endeavor…. PLEASE do your best to help spread the word, as the amount of need in Haiti, greatly exceeds the amount of time that we have to promote this event… We will of course be raisin’ pints for a good cause, and invite our beloved family and friends to please join us for a night of great music, and of great social concern…

100% of funds donated to Direct Relief for Haiti will be used exclusively for programmatic activities related to Haiti. None of the funds donated for Haiti will be used to pay for fundraising or administrative expenses, or for programmatic activities in other places.

Direct Relief is responding with shipments of medicines and medical supplies that are reaching local health partners to treat earthquake survivors.

Direct Relief emergency response staff are on the ground in Haiti, providing expert logistics assistance to other relief organizations to coordinate delivery of medical and nutritional supplies.

On a completely different note, we would like to thank both our old and new friends in Los Angeles, Vegas, TucsOn, Mesa, Phoenix, San Luis Rio Colorado, Hermosillo, Mexicali and Tecate for a most excellent tour… Almost everything went off without a hitch, though we did have 1 auto breakdown, 1 shakedown by the Mexican police, and 1 refusal-of-entry by the United States border patrol… Despite those limited hardships, we have returned re-energized and resolute in the fact that there is much work to be done, and that we are absolutely obligated by reality to raise our voices even more… We invite you, to join us in this musical and social struggle, as alone, we are but a grain of sand, where as united, we are part of a larger voice that is harder to silence… In solidarity, we extend our love and appreciation to those of you whom are willing to walk hand in hand (or in many cases beer in hand), against that which divides us… And as the saying goes “you’ll never walk alone”… Con todo el pinche corazón, WE thank YOU…

México (lindo y querido) sigue teniendo un ejercito policial completamente corrupto donde el varo rifa…
Nuestra nave (linda y querida) también tiene su limite, y como cualquier buen Plebe, necesita cariño y mantenimiento…
La frontera entre Tecate y los Estado Unidos es como todas las pinches fronteras del mundo, tratan de perpetuar la ilusión del imperio, y nos dividen con un egoísmo realmente repugnante…
Y con ese punto final, les preguntamos a todos ustedes: ‘tonces que pinche plebe??? Nos vamos a dormir, o nos vemos en las barricadas??? Hay mucho que hacer, y solo juntos se va poder lograr…

With the dawning of a new year, your faithful Plebe is FINALLY communicating as to our upcoming plans, hopes, intentions and desires for this present (yet barely commencing) brand spankin’ new year… It truly has been much too long since last we wrote and for that we apologize to our beloved family and friends, however, we can assure everyone that we have continued to stay busy in our efforts, writing new songs, playing new cities, and raising some old pints…
We are extremely grateful to everyone whom continues to support our band which has now reached 9 years in existence, and coincidentally about to play our 500th show THIS very Thursday evening at Thee Parkside in San Francisco… I don’t think that it ever crossed our minds that we would still be making noise this many years later, but I can genuinely say that despite the many years, bruises and hangovers that have ravaged both our livers and our minds, it truly feels as if we are just barely warmin’ up… Despite the fact that we have really tried our best to regularly paint miles both on land and in air, there is always much to do, much to eat, much to drink, and many songs to write… And so with that, we are officially warning everybody that you have not gotten rid of us yet, and that we hope to be around for many years to come…
Like previously mentioned, we do have the extreme honor of hosting our official 500th super gig and “Siempre Unidos” Tour Kickoff show THIS Thursday January 7th in the lovely city of San Francisco California alongside some amazing blokes from around the Bay… The show itself happens to be an ALL AGES affair, replete with enough wholesome family entertainment AND debauchery alike, that it is sure to indulge the soberest of Joes, and the lushiest of Lucys around… Though we have been fortunate enough to say this in the past, the show itself is truly NOT TO BE MISSED, and so we implore our fellow plebes to make the necessary arrangements so as to ensure attendance… On the bill that evening we have our long time supporter and friend DJ Chaos on the wheels of steel, while Mr. Tim Sandberg of “Fucking Buckaroos” fame will grace the stage (along with a cohort er two), followed by the band Complaints whom will officially bring the punk rock, and then onto the musical poetry by los maestros in Filthy Thieving Bastards, before we jump on and ruin the whole thing… SO, we feel that the night has the makings of a truly magical experience, and we hope to see everyone out that evening and in good spirits…
Finally, we will be heading to Los Angeles the very next morning (ouch!), for what will ultimately be a brief 11 day jaunt from SF to Hermosillo and back, with stops in various watering holes along the way… So please let your loved (and hated) ones know that La pinche Plebe will probably be stoppin’ by, and that we will most likely be thoisty… We promise to replace any beers that were already in the fridge, and that we will probably be packin’ a bit of heat ourselves… Plus, I’m sure that we would love to meet ‘em…
More news to come in the not so distant future, as we are set to record a new album this year, tour some, and definitely do our best to see some old faces (and new ones too of course)… So with nothing more for the immediate time being, feliz año nuevo, take of yourselves, and we will hopefully see ya at the shows, as your attendance is always appreciated… Con todo el pinche corazón, WE thank YOU very much… salucita famiglia… arre…

Con el comienzo de este nuevo año, su fiel y humilde Plebe por fin nos estamos reportando con noticias, invitaciones, sugerencias y nuestro agradecimiento eterno, por los años de apoyo y amor… Aunque es difícil para nosotros creerlo, nuestro grupo ya cumplió 9 años en existencia, y estamos apunto de tocar nuestro evento quinto-centenario ESTE mesmito JUEVES 7 de Enero; y en las palabras inmortales de nuestra tía Lola Beltrán, “ya la chica se hizo grande!”… Antes que todo, queremos establecer y dejar SIN DUDA, que nuestros logros (aunque pocos), y nuestra contribución al movimiento musical, no existiría ni tendría fuerza, sin el apoyo y participación de nuestra querida raza… Las bellas sonrisas, la amistad, los bailes y los coros, han alimentado completamente lo que estamos (y seguiremos) haciendo… Creo que apenas nos estamos calentando, y en realidad, en esta vida siempre hay mucho que hacer… Entonces, con todo el respeto del mundo, les avisamos de que todavía no se des-hacen de nosotros, y que siga la pachanga…
Como les mencionamos anteriormente, tenemos el honor de estar celebrando este cumpleaños Plebeyo con una fiesta PARA TODAS LAS EDADES, ESTE Jueves 7 de Enero en Thee Parkside (ubicado por la calle 17 y Wisconsin), alado de músicos muy impresionantes… La noche tendrá como director musical al famoso DJ Chaos (famoso por lo menos en el cantina), tocando lo que le da la gana, antes de que empiece la parte del programa exponiendo grupos en vivo… Nuestro amigo Tim Sandberg del grupo “Fucking Buckaroos” estará tocando junto con 2 músicos invitados, un set tipo acústico pero con potencia de cuerda vocal… El grupo siguiente bajo el nombre “Complaints”, tocan punk rock con un estilo entre el callejero y lo melódico, mientras que los valedores en “Filthy Thieving Bastards” hacen una poesía punqueta, con toques de música Irlandés, y el country regional… Su fiel Plebe estamos programados para cerrar la noche en directo, antes de que regresemos al incendió y el consumo, con el DJ Chaos de nuevo… Entonces, aquí con la invitación, la sugerencia y la esperanza de que puedan, los esperamos en el evento ESTE Jueves, cual para acabarla, también inicia nuestra primer gira del año, el “Siempre Unidos” Tour…
El mero día siguiente (Viernes 8 de Enero) nos lanzamos para Los Angeles, donde vamos a tocar junto los compañeros en Niño Zombi, mas otros grupos muy buenos de la área local… De allí, empieza la carretera con rumbo así a Las Vegas, Mesa Arizona, Tucsón Arizona, Nogales México, Hermosillo, San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexicali y finalmente Tecate, antes de rechinar para San Pancho de nuevo… Entonces, por favor les avisan a sus familias, sus amigos y sus seres queridos de que pronto va llegar La pinche Plebe, y que todavía no se bañan los cabrones… Por favor preparen los embases por que la noche siempre es larga, y la sed se siente profundamente…
Finalmente, les avisamos de que por fin vamos a grabar un nuevo disco este año, más editar el más reciente (“Hasta La Muerte”) en formato de vinilo (de 12 pulgas)… Incluso, ya estamos apartando tiempo para irnos de gira, y reunirnos con mucha gente que extrañamos un chingo, cuales se encuentran en diferentes tierras y en diferentes países (pinches fronteras de mierda)… Les mandamos mas noticias en cuanto haiga algo que reportar…

has officially landed, and it happens to be wearing some butt-less chaps, while
looking for the festive sounds that exist in San Francisco this evening... So
please join us ( your faithful Plebe ) in this celebratory spirit, as we
converge upon the Eagle Tavern TONIGHT, ( Thursday September 24th ) in
the city of San Francisco, to properly kick off a weekend mini tour that has us
playing in SF, Oxnard, Pacoima, and Inglewood THIS very weekend...

Nos vemos ESTA noche en la ciudad de San Francisco, donde estamos por
iniciar una mini-gira (en el Eagle Tavern), antes de apartir para las ciudades

Con todo el pinche gusto del mundo, les escribimos hoy en dia con la
noticia de que POR FIN, estamos por regresar al Sur del estado y pa' la
frontera Mexicana ESTE mesmito fin de semana!!! Después de una larga
ausencia y sin tener el lujo de estar con nuestra querida raza (que se
encuentran por diferentes partes del Sur), ahora si vamos a poder vernos
las caras de nuevo (..a-..pinche-..huevo!!!)... La ruta del sabor
empieza ESTE Jueves 2 de Julio en la Area de Los Angeles, con una
presentación alado de nuestros amigos Niño Zombi en la galereeya "Art y
Mayhem"... El evento va ser al aire libre, bajo las estrellas, para
todas las edades, y con una tarifa de 5 varitos Americanos... POR FAVOR
lleguen a buena hora, como el evento termina temprano, con el "DJ
Styloso" cerrando la pachanga un poco después de las 11 de la noche...
El dia siguiente (Viernes 3 de Julio), su fiel Plebe se lanza para la
ciudad de Tijuana, donde estamos programados participar en un evento
complétamente gratuito en la Plaza Fiesta, por la Zona Rio...
Lamentáblemente.. les avisamos de que este evento es SOLO PARA MAYORES,
y requiere una identificación para entrar al desmadre... Hicimos todo lo
posible para encontrar un lugar donde todos pudieran entrar, pero
desafortunádame..nte no se pudo lograr, aunque mucha gente hizo el
intento por nuestra parte... Por ese esfuerzo, queremos agradecer a
Bernardo (Cafeina Riot Radio / Los KFM), Tarek (Bulldog Productions /
Los KFM), Xavier Torres (Desde el Underground), Maruchán (La Real
Tijuana), y todos los demás en Tijuana que intentaron ayudarnos
establecer un show (muchas gracias carnales!..!!)... Nuestro plan es
llegar temprano a la ciudad, para convivir con los ricos tacos, la cheve
helada, y nuestros amigos Tijuanenses cuales son muy pero muy
apreciados... Entonces, nos estamos viendo pronto raza!!!...
Finalmente, para completar la estimada tercia consentida, estamos por
regresar al epicentro y origen de miles de crudas, donde la cheve corre
come un rio, y la lata roja es la que rifa... Sábado 4 de Julio, su fiel
y humilde Plebe levanta botes en la ciudad de Tecate México, en un
evento que si resulta ser PARA TODAS LAS EDADES (ajua!!!)... Tocando
alado de los grupos: Red Awakening, Don, y La Real Tijuana, el evento
empieza a las 7pm y cuesta 35 pesitos para entrar... Queremos darle
nuestro agradecimiento a Ruben (Cafeina Records) por organizar este
evento, y por apoyar a nuestro grupo ya por varios años, muchas gracias
hermano...
Con nada más por el momento, les sugerimos que por favor hagan lo
posible para llegar a uno o TODOS de estos eventos... No sabemos cuando
lo próxima oportunidad se va presentar (para pachangear todos juntos)

It is with great pleasure (and joy) that we communicate with you on this
day, to remind our beloved family and friends that we will be doing a
very brief mini-tour of LA and Baja California, starting THIS Thursday
July 2nd... The first show is to be held in the city of Los Angeles,
while the following days will find us in Tijuana and Tecate
respectively..... It has been so very long since we've had the luxury
and the good fortune to do such a nostalgic trip (something that we used
to do quite often), that we are truly excited at the prospect of seeing
our old friends and making some new ones along the way... The kickoff
show (Thursday July 2nd) is set to take place at an art gallery called
"Art and Mayhem" located in the Atwater area of Los Angeles, where we
are set to (dis)grace the stage alongside the horror punk ska outfit
that is Niño Zombi, as well as the musical stylings of the aptly named,
DJ Styloso... With an implied NC-17 rating for this show, we implore our
beloved family and friends to show up early as the event itself is set
to conclude shortly after the 11 o'clock hour, and actually kicks off
around 8:30pm... And so, please show up at a good time, as this event
will not slow down for anyone, once the starting gun is fired...
The following day (Friday July 3rd), we will be crossin' international
borders ("I'm so bored with the USA") and entering the wonderfully
complex city that is Tijuana Mexico, where we are very fortunate to have
some close friends and some very close beers waiting for us... Entering
that city is both a melancholic and joyful experience, as we have had
some truly magical times there, and yet have also lost some dear friends
(in that city) to both vice and circumstance..... And so, we are really
looking forward to the opportunity to revive some of that good ol' time
Tijuana rock n' roll, and implore our beloved family and friends to meet
us at the Plaza Fiesta (Zona Rio) early, where those good times will
once again be resumed... It WAS our intention to play an all ages show
in Tijuana, though due to the lack of venues that entertain such
functions, we will be hangin' out with the very ancient blokes that
exceed the necessary 18 years of age, which is the required age to raise
the 32 oz. legally in Mexico... We would like to thank our friends
Bernardo Leos (Cafeina Riot Radio / Los KFM), Tarek (Bulldog Productions
/ Los KFM), Xavier Torres (Desde el Underground) and Maruchán (La Real
Tijuana) for their efforts in trying to secure us a show in Tijuana, as
without their efforts, our brown eyes would definitely be blue...
And to finish off the weekend, we will be returning to the city which
has been the cause of many a Plebe hangover, the possible birthplace of
the 30 pack, where the red can rains supreme, and the golden brew flows
to no end; the border city that is Tecate, Mexico... And so, it is in
that city that we will be observing the Farce of July, with a rockin'
ALL AGES show alongside the bands Red Awakening, Don, and La Real
Tijuana... This event also will surely not dissapoint and so, please
make the necessary arrangements and meet us at this historical place for
a nice, tall, frosty cold one, direct from the immense brewin' plant
that looms over the city like a sketchy uncle, well versed in the art of
fermentation...
With nothing more for the immediate time being, we would like to thank
everyone who came out to this last week's round of shows... The Last
Original's car show was a thing of beauty, Santa Cruz was too a gas, and
Gilman once again showed us the extreme value that the 3 letter DIY
entail... Let's do it all again brothers and sistas...

It's truly been a long time since last we've communicated, and so for that regrettable shortcoming on our behalves, we do apologize... Despite the literary absence and lack of updates, we've still been keepin' busy, playing around the town and working on some new material... Recent shows have included blowouts in Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Oakland, San Francisco and Sacramento, for which we are all extremely thankful to have been a part of... Many a great band, sweaty bodies and raised glasses were strewn amongst the rabble and so, it would be safe to say that spirits have been high and that the energy has been electric... Thank you to anyone and everyone who was present at any of our most recent shin digs, as it has been those people who have truly fueled the fire...
Con tanto pinche tiempo desde que los pendejillos
en La Plebe nos reportamos, les pedimos disculpas a
nuestra querida raza por nuestra ausencia literaria,
aunque les aseguramos de que aún seguimos chambeando
y hasta mas, aún seguimos chingando... Con varios
toquines durante estos meses recién pasados, tuvimos
el honor de tocar unos reventones en las ciudades de
Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Oakland, San Francisco y
Sacramento, donde la raza se prendió, bailó y gozó
del buen ambiente alrededor... TODOS los eventos
realmente rifaron con un calor y energía que solo
los cuerpos, el sudor y la cerveza puede crear...

In keeping up with these exciting times, we have a
very special show coming up THIS Saturday
June 6th at El Rio (in the lovely city of San
Francisco) where for one night only, the blokes from
Whiskey Dick Darryls will grace the stage once
again, and play their very first show together in
years... Additionally, the band Top Ten has been
asked to open up the night (as they will be
officially presenting their new 7" record), while we
Plebes are set to conclude the evening with a public
display of tom-foolery... All in all, one can
expect an entertaining evening full of singing,
suds, laughter and dancing, amongst friends and
strangers alike, whom really know how to have a good
time... The show itself is strictly for the oldies
but goodies (21+), costs $7 (clams), and kicks off
at 10pm (sharp), so please gather up all of yer
dinosaur friends and lets meet up at the bar...

esperamos ESTE Sábado 6 de Junio en la ciudad
de San Francisco, donde nos encontramos otra vez por
el barrio de la Misión (en El Rio), tocando junto
los grupos "Top Ten" y "Whiskey Dick Darryls"...
Este evento es SOLO PARA MAYORES de edad, y para
esos jovenazos que ya han encontrado la perdición,
los documentos falsos, y la cruda mortal (muy buena
tercia)... El primer grupo empieza a las 10pm, la
entrada cuesta 7 varitos, y su fiel Plebe cerrará la
noche... Les sugerimos que POR FAVOR lleguen
temprano para apoyar a todas las bandas, y para
tomarnos unas chelitas todos juntos (a wee-wees)...
In other immediate news that relates to our group, we have recently faced the unfortunate reality that we are not going to be able to tour (to any extensive degree) this summer and so, though we are saddened by this unsympathetic reality, we assure our family and friends (in different locations throughout the world) that we will be hitting the road as soon as we possibly can, so please don’t fret, and let's continue to keep in touch... Despite these limitations, we WILL be doing a mini-weekend-tour down South to the Los Angeles area-Tijuana-and Baja on the weekend of July 4th, so if you happen to be in these areas, please be on the lookout for further information as it develops...
Por otro lado les avisamos de que lamentablemente NO vamos a poder irnos de gira este verano como lo hemos hecho en an~os anteriores (por motives fuera de nuestro control)... PERO, les aseguramos de que en cuanto se pueda viajar para otras tierras lejanas, pueden contar con La pinche (y mísera) Plebe para llegar a donde sea que esté nuestra querida raza pachanguera... Por favor cuenten con eso... Incluso, independiente de esa triste realidad, estamos en el proceso de confirmer unas fechas en Tijuana, Baja y el Sur del estado par el 2, 3 y 4 de Julio, entonces, nos estamos viendo pronto raza!!!...
And lastly, we are very happy to announce that our friends at Kool Arrow Records have recently re-issued our long since out of print CD entitled "Entre Cerveza Ritmo y Emoción", which will now be available at gigs, and through the website http://www.koolarrow.com/">www.koolarrow.com... We’d like to thank them for the continued support, along with the folks at Red Scare Records whom both have released some of our most recent recordings, and have supported our group in a very familial way... With the bittersweet sentiment that often accompanies that which displays both beauty and sadness (“the agony and the ecstasy” for all you cholos out there), we write to our beloved family and friends at this moment in time, to invite those with a penchant for music, dance, love, and rebellion, to please join us THIS very FRIDAY January 30th at Slim’s (in the beautiful city of San Francisco), where we are set to bid adieu to our brothers (and sista) from the group FUGA!, as they embark on a musical and spiritual sojourn that has them leaving the Bay Area for good (we hope not), as they slowly return to their respective madrelands in El Paso Texas, Ciudad Juarez, and Mexico City… After 4 years as a much appreciated staple within the Bay Area social and musical scene, the eastern and southern winds have conspired to beckon these musical activists to other lands… Being that we ourselves aspire to shed any traces of selfishness, we understand that their journey alas must continue, and that we cannot keep them for ourselves alone… And so, we reluctantly profess our extreme joy for what this next phase in their musical life will entail, and we wish them the absolute best in everything that this future may hold for them… With that in mind, we ask that you PLEASE join us to celebrate their overall contribution to this area, their beautiful music, and the nature of their characters, which is of the highest regard… To further add to the celebratory aspect of Friday night’s event, the lads (and lass) in Fuga! will also be officially presenting their brand new CD entitled “Relatos Rebeldes”, which has been a long awaited and highly anticipated release… Having said that, it is our sincerest hope that you will join us THIS Friday, January 30th for a true party, a genuine bon voyage, and yet another reason to raise a pint and cut a rug amongst the love and warmth that only family and friends can bring… This ALL AGES event in San Francisco is NOT to be missed, nor to be ignored, as it is your last chance to see the band Fuga! within the Bay Area, before the future takes a hold of them… With nothing more for the time being, WE thank you very very much, and we hope to see you Friday…

For those of you whom remember our New Year's Eve parties from years long passed, we are happy to announce that we will once again be picking up our collective glass (where once we left off), in honor and respect for what this upcoming year may hold (for everyone whom we hold dear)… The official pachanga is set to take place on Wednesday December 31st at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, and will most definitely include those elements of song, dance, and good cheer, which dominated those past New Year's Eves whence once we blissfully (drunkenly), danced the night away…
As lore has it, and as it goes, it is widely accepted that red "undies" will help encourage fulfillment in matters of the heart (flesh, love, like, lust or whatever), and that the green grape, when consumed on the Eve of a New Year, will promote good luck and prosperity… Other superstitions, nuances and kooky practices are highly recommended for that night, as we'd like to promote the highest of good intention, and the purest of elevated spirits… On that note, we'd also like invite all of those that dabble in the liquid arts, to please cozy up to the bar and raise a pint with your faithful Plebe, in honor of all that we (as people) have experienced this past year, and are surely set to endure in the upcoming months (all 12 of ‘em)… For those of you whom do not indulge in the culture of the bottle, we ask that you still join us for a symbolic toast, with equal respect and fervor, for what the future may hold… This year's event promises to exceed all others (with all due respect) in aspects of organization and the number of participants, as for the very first time, it will not only be the musical groups that will be a rockin’ and a rollin’, but rather, we are also counting on our internationally renowned Master of Ceremonies Craig Billmier, and the always moonstompin’ DJ Chaos to raise the stakes to a level never before seen at a Plebe party… With THAT having been said, you can definitely expect to be serenaded with ambiance and music from the moment you enter the club, to the very last and fleeting moments before the haze of yet another concluded year is either erased for good, or is rather imbedded in the halls of your spirit and mind forever… SO, prepare to enter a land where balloons, noisemakers, doo-dads, hats, and the obligatory midnight toast will reign supreme, amidst the smiles, hugs, and kisses that are always present when our beloved family and friends converge on venue, ready to dance the night away…
Because of the truly special nature of this event, and because it will surely prove to be THE premier New Year’s Eve event in San Francisco (with all due respect once again), we implore you all to please purchase tickets in advance, so as to insure guaranteed entrance, and so as to not see anyone’s brown eyes turn blue, on such a night as this… Additionally, we humbly ask you (the prospective concert go-er), to please show up early, with doors officially opening at 8:30 in the evening, and the punk rock folk powerhouse that is Blackbird Raum jumping on promptly at 9:15 in the PM… This is a band which is not to be missed!!!

On a somber and truly unexpected note, we are deeply saddened to report that our brother in arms Poké (vocalist for the Romanian street punk band Recycle Bin), passed away unexpectedly this past Friday night in Bucharest Romania… With no further details other then that he collapsed shortly after walking off stage, we send his family, his band mates, and our friends in Romania are sincerest condolences, and deepest thoughts of empathy and love… He was a big man, with an even bigger heart, who always welcomed us with open arms and a sincere fraternal smile, which will be deeply missed… We will definitely share a toast in his honor, and we will see you again some day dear brother… Que en paz descanse el señor Poké…

Con todo el pinche gusto del mundo, les anunciamos de que su fiel y humilde Plebe se lanza para tierras Tapatías esta mesmita noche, donde vamos a convivir unos días con la buen raza del barrio, gozando, tomando y tocando con nuestra querida raza de Guadalajara… Estamos muy pero muy contentos en tener esta oportunidad de reunirnos con nuestros amigos en Jalisco, y tenemos la esperanza de también tocar en otras ciudades en el poco tiempo que vamos a estar en México… La razón, o el evento clave, por el cual de este viaje tan corto, se llevará acabo ESTE Sábado 6 de Diciembre en La Concha Acústica, donde vamos a tocar junto con los compas de Sekta Core (DF) y No Tiene La Vaca (GDL) (entre muchos otras bandas), con la esperanza de ayudar un poco a los niños de la calle, durante este tiempo Navideño… El festival empieza temprano, y les pedimos que por favor lleguen a buena hora, para apoyar a todas las bandas participando en este evento…
We are extremely happy to announce that we will be hoppin’ a plane this very evening (early morning), as we are set to catch a redeye flight straight to Guadalajara Mexico where we will be playing a toy drive festival this very weekend, along with some surprise shows in other cities, of which, details will be published on the very days that those shows are to transpire… It is an extreme honor to be returning to our beloved Mexico once again (even if it is only for such a short period of time) and so, we humbly ask that you please help us spread the word, and get your tios, tias, primas and primos to meet us for caguama or two at one or all of our prospective shows… We promise to be on our best (worst) behavior possible and above all, give every ounce of energy and love that we possibly can muster, to all whom will ultimately be present… Additionally, we will be hitting as many taco and danger dog stands as possible, as we have yet to further develop that extra layer of blubber, which will surely help us combat that crisp San Francisco chill which is fast approaching… And finally, if memory serves us well, this trip also coincides with the yearly release of Mexico's only seasonal beer called "Noche Buena" which incidentally, is truly an amber kiss of goodness… And so needless to say, we are SUPER excited…

After an extremely long (and over indulged) literary hiatus, your faithful Plebe once again rears its ugly collective head and frothy mouth, to extend our kindest regards and sincerest gratitude to our beloved family and friends whom continue to support this traveling musical circus, which is now dangerously close to entering its 8th year in existence… Since our return from Europe and the Eastern European Balkans ("Música y Amigos Tour") in early August, we've been arduously drinking and practicing, playing a bit, and writing new material in preparation for some truly exciting opportunities, which we've been so kindly invited to participate in… Details on such upcoming endeavors will be detailed below, while first and foremost we would like to invite everyone to a very cool and happening, punk rocking-est event TONIGHT, Friday November 14th in the city of Richmond, at the legendary underground haven known as Burnt Ramen Studios… We are very proud and honored to have helped organize a fundraiser benefit show for our brethren from the group Eskapo, whom are preparing to embark on a tour of the Philippines for the very first time, and re-visit those territories and friends in resistance, whom they left so many years ago… We cannot properly convey the degree of joy and happiness that we feel for them, and so we humbly ask all of you young upstarts, old rabble rousers, mischievous souls, and overall unsavory types to please join us TONIGHT, Friday November 14th in Richmond, and help give these wonderful Eskapo blokes (our sista band) a supportive kick in the pants… The show begins EARLY (at around 8pm), and so we ask that you PLEASE show up accordingly, so as to not miss any of the beer soaked festivities… Live performances will be realized by your faithful Plebe, the Bum City Saints, Gunner and Eskapo, while those present can enjoy a silent art auction, whose funds will also go towards the Eskapo’s punk rock sojourn… We are very excited to be playing Burnt Ramen for the very first time, and so we truly hope that our esteemed peoples can join us for what is to sure to be a wonderful and memorable deflowering ceremony…??? In other news, we are very happy to announce that us guys also, will be returning to our respective “madreland” (3 outta 5 Plebes agree) in early December, as we embark on a 5 day mini tour of central Méjico, based around a festival in Guadalajara whose aim is to help displaced and neglected children within the city of Guadalajara… And so needless to say, we are borderline giddy about this opportunity to re-visit our family and friends in those beloved cities that we miss soooo much… Prepare the tortas ahogadas, danger dogs, tacos and micheladas, as La pinche Plebe will definitely be hungry, thirsty, and ready for action…
En otras noticias, estamos muy contentos en avisarles de que estamos por regresar a Guadalajara (y otras pocas ciudades) muy pronto, empezando por los principios de Diciembre, con un viaje desafortunadamente muy breve de solo 5 días… El evento principal por cual nos estamos hechando el brinco para México, se llevará acabo el 8 de Diciembre en Guanatos, bajo el nombre de “Va Por Ellos – Rock por la Sonrisa de la Niñez”, y pronto les vamos a poder enviar más detalles… Mientras, estamos haciendo planes acerca de donde vamos a pasar por tortas ahogadas, tacos (en Zapopan), viril, y unas micheladas muy picosas… Eso también se los vamos a avisar, para ver si nos acompañan???… Ajua!!!

Ya con una semana detrás en nuestro viaje, hasta ahorita, a sido un halucín muy pero muy bello... Tocamos en Londres el primer día, con un invitado muy especial cantando con nosotros, el maestro Mick Jones del grupo The Clash, nos ayudo con unos coros, y se realizo un sueño nunca jamás esperado... Desde ese tiempo, hemos tocado varios eventos, hemos grabado una nueva canción con los maestros de Atheist Rap en Novi Sad, y hemos sentido un amor, y un apoyo tan tierno, que no existen las palabras adecuadas para expresar nuestros pensamientos... PLEASE join us THIS very Saturday, June 21st in the
lovely city of San Francisco, for what will surely be one of our most
exciting shows ever, as we celebrate the launching of our very first, East
meets West, "Música y Amigos" Tour, with a stellar kickoff show at the
Bottom of the Hill... THIS will be the last occasion that we have to
cut a rug domestically (for some time), as we will be gone for about 6
weeks, traveling from Cervo Italy, to Sofia Bulgaria, with many many many
stops in between (14 countries I believe???)... So PLEASE do not
think twice about joining us on Saturday, as this show features both
local and legendary greats in the likes of The Departed, Druglords of the
Avenues, and M.D.C., whom will be playing both acoustically and electrically
for the fine folks in attendance... The show itself is ALL AGES,
starts at 9pm, and carries a weight of 10 bux in the pocket book, so we once
again implore our beloved family and friends, to please join us for what we
hope (and are certain), will truly be a magical night of music...
Additionally, we will be bidding our friend Dominic "adieu" on Saturday
night, as he will be flying the California coop and moving over to Arizona
in the coming days, so if you see him that night, feel free to buy him a

As far as the tour goes, we will once again be jumping on a plane following
the kickoff show, as we have grown accustomed to this approach, feeling as
if the positive energy and good vibes that the kickoff shows always bring,
are somehow powering the plane and our overall travels as well... The first
night of the tour finds us in London, where the homeboys from Firehouse
Kustom Rockart Company are hosting a night of art, music, and many surprises
which we are very excited about... After a long night of drinking and
dancing, we will hop over to Croatia and officially start rockin' the
mainland as best we can... Amongst the amazing bands that we have the

We are excited and honored to be playing an awesome ALL AGES show in the city of San Francisco THIS VERY FRIDAY May 2nd, alongside some very cool bands… Being a stellar lineup indeed, the show is set to commence early, and for us old timers, go until late, with a wide panorama of punk rock and other genres earnestly on display… It is our very first time ever playing Thee Parkside, so we humbly ask our beloved family and friends to join us for a virginal night of sweet sweet music and good wholesome fun making… We will be once again playing alongside our friends in Cobra Skulls, Nothington, Bent Left (from Kansas City), and Kemo Sabe!!! This event has been organized by Scott Alcoholocaust as a fundraiser for our upcoming tour (which we can honestly attest to being a costly endeavor for any independent band), and so all of the bands that are playing that evening have selflessly agreed to donate their time to try n' help us come close to someday maybe covering part of our expenses… Needless to say, we are forever indebted to their kindness and quality of character ("the cuts of their jibs")… So we thank THEM very much (brothers in arms) for their support, and pledge them nothing less in return… MUCHAS GRACIAS cabrones!!!

special brew, the mighty Bad Manners will grace the stage (along with your
faithful Plebe), THIS VERY WEDNESDAY April 2nd at Slim’s in the city of
San Francisco... I myself have stumbled (been thrown) out of a Bad Manners show
some years ago, so I will be the first to say that those boys know how to
present a mighty fine show... We would really like to encourage you connaseur

south... We played with both of these bands last week in San
José and had a very good time, so we are once again expecting a

be in attendance to raise a few pints… This show is strictly for
those oldies but goodies (21+), as well as those resourceful
youngsters whom possess the necessary paperwork to ensure

We will be playing our
very first show of the year THIS coming Saturday February
2nd at El Rio in San Francisco, as we took the month of January
off from gigging, so as to help re-charge the internal batteries
a bit... So, I could definitely say that the boys are rather
thirsty for a good musical gig, and all the fine suds that often
accompany these sorts of occasions... It is with additional joy
that we approach THIS coming Saturday, as both the Cobra
Skulls and Barfeeders are scheduled to mix it up a bit, for all
of the fine folks which we hope will be in attendance… And to
help justify the next day's eminent and inevitable hangover, the
show's proceeds will go to benefit the independent publication
Razorcake Magazine, and their proposed community center in the
East of Los Angeles, where they hope to create a viable cultural
and musical space for the independent artist around... So please
show up expectin' to hear some rockin' music and to have a very
good time, all for a worthwhile cause...

commencement of our 8th year as the luckiest band around,
playing, singing and dancing for our beloved family and friends,
as well as for those powers that be whom do not like to hear a
united voice of dissent... Our shows and the sharing of time and

really good carnaval, where emotion and sincerity rule the
school, and everyone has a place where we can celebrate our
experience... I know that it sounds rather hippy but it’s true,

updating the website, working on grants, day-to-day operations,
and working towards our ultimate goal of one day opening a
community center in East Los Angeles.
We understand that most DIY punk-related stuff doesn't make any
money. What's so special about us holding that up as a banner?
First and foremost, we're not here merely for ourselves. Since
January, 2001, we've been here to celebrate all the independent
artists who make us happy, who make us think, and who help give
us some meaning. You help us; we help hundreds of people who are
actively creating a real, grass roots alternative in real time.
Our modest hope is that by keeping Razorcake strong and doing
our part, we'll all make sure no one completely steals this
culture from us, only to sell it back in a more diluted form.

So, as the end of the year finally descends upon us, we would like to invite our beloved family and friends to join us for our very last shows of the year, starting TONIGHT December 27th at the Bottom of the Hill in the city of San Francisco, and then Friday (TOMORROW) December 28th at La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley… Both shows feature incredible lineups, beginning TONIGHT where we have the honor of playing alongside the punk n' folk poets that are the Filthy Thieving Bastards, as well as alongside an SF institution in the Angry Amputees (who have not graced the musical stage in over a year and a half), and then finally Santa Rosa's very own dual vocal darlings known as the punk rock outfit Ashtray!!! With varied musical styles and presentations amongst the different groups, this event will truly be a magical occasion, and so we hope to see our wonderful folks from around the Bay in attendance, as this show is truly NOT TO BE MISSED… The show kicks off at around 9pm so please, meet us at the bar and DO NOT BE LATE!!!

As if that show weren’t already cause for celebration, we also have the extreme honor of playing TOMORROW December 28th at La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley for what will truly be a revolutionary event, with performances by The Brass Liberation Orchestra, Bolivar Vive!, Aztlan Underground from Los Angeles, and a very special solo performance by Rupert Estanislao, who usually moonlights as vocalist for the hardcore group Eskapo… This event will feature the sweat and tears of the dispossessed and the defiant. With an underlying theme of solidarity amongst exploited communities worldwide, we hope to collectively work towards the necessary energy that may someday create change… So with our brothers and sisters whom will be performing that evening, we await and humbly ask for your presence and assistance in nourishing that evening’s whirlwind of energy that will definitely feed our collective soul, and propel us strongly towards what the oncoming year may hold… A percentage of the door loot will be donated to the organization California Prison Focus (www.prison.org), to help in their fight for human rights and reform within the California prison system… We hope and ask that our beloved family and friends join us for this most important event and as a very important side note, we are looking for 2 volunteers to help collect tickets and work the door for part of that evening… We will find some way to compensate you for your time in the form of CD’s n’ such, but above all, WE (your faithful Plebe) would be most appreciative for your help in making this event run smoothly… So please send us an email if you are interested in helping out…

I think that the boys would agree that ALL of the shows that we play, no matter where they may be and with whom, are very special to us on many and most every level… However, IF ever there was a reason to celebrate and rock out just a wee bit more, I would say that birthday's and bah mitzvah’s have to rank amongst the top, in a very long list of reasons to raise pints, and a little bit a hell as well… So for us, we feel very lucky to once again be invited to play one of these aforementioned special occasions, as we prepare to make some noise THIS very Friday November 30th in the city of San Francisco, celebrating the life and birth of Ms. Annie of Annie's Social Club… Continuing in the great history and punk rock experience that began oh so long ago when the club was known as the Covered Wagon Saloon, Annie has worked very hard to fill the musical void which plagued "The City" when the CW closed it's doors and re-opened as an outta touch dance club (with all due respect) under a different name (which will not be mentioned here)… So, if you have ever stumbled into a cab on Folsom and 5th after a long night of sweat and booze, or woken up hazy and hungover with only a slight memory of Annie's pleasant smile and one too many shots the night before, please come out and wish her a happy birthday on this very special day… The night will most definitely be both festive and celebratory, with the musical soundtrack provided by The Heartaches (San Diego), The Texas Thieves, The Hollycocks, and of course your faithful Plebe from San Francisco… So with nothing more for the time being, we'll wait for you at the bar with open arms and conditioned livers, as it is our extreme pleasure to share both time and space with the beautiful people who continually frequent those events which we participate in… We would like to thank our beloved family and friends for the years of support and well wishes as we are now, and will always be forever indebted… WE thank YOU very very very much…

It was quite an interesting trip for us down south this past weekend, where due to a super big accident on highway 5 (which we were not involved in), an initial trip that should have lasted about 6 hours, ended up taking 13, while the return trip which should have been about 12 hours, resulted in a full 16 hours of traffic, rain and tow truck fun… However, the actual time that we spent in both Tecate and Montebello was a thing of beauty… SO, we would like to thank everyone who made it out to either of the shows, as we greatly appreciate the support and positive vibe… Muchisimas Gracias…

This weekend, we would like to invite everyone to come out THIS Saturday October 20th (tomorrow), in the lovely city of San Francisco where we are set to indulge in what will surely be a night of unadulterated music, debauchery and good feeling, while celebrating the birth of two very important people within the San Francisco (and international) musical scene… For about one thousand years now, Scott Alcoholocaust has continually been the City's most consistent and hardworking independent promoter, who has always supported both established and "up and coming" bands alike without prejudice… He was amongst the first people to truly embrace your faithful Plebe as a credible musical entity, and has continued to support our drunken lot despite how many pints have been raised or how many notes we have glossed over…. WE would like to send him our sincerest gratitude and well wishes on his special day, on behalf of us Plebe blokes and the whole SF musical scene (if we may be so bold and presumptuous)… Happy birthday Tall Man!!!
The other cat who is turning one year wiser is El Rio's very own sound engineer and sonic producer Mr. Frank "El Rio", who has been at the helm of those very musical controls for as many years as the shows have been rockin' at the afore mentioned venue… Whether it be salsa on Sundays, punk n' roll over the weekend, or a lovely lesbian soirée on any day of the week, Frank has always worked hard to produce a sound that is both pleasant and authentic, to the ears of even the most traditional concert goer… So thank you to Mr. Frank Rio for sacrificing his ears in support of all those musical movements which we all love so very very much… Feliz cumpleaños cabrón!!!
ESTE fin de semana, tenemos el placer de estar tocando en San Francisco por el barrio de la Misión, celebrando el cumpleaños de nuestro compadre Scott Alcoholocaust y Frank "El Rio" cuales los dos han sido gran parte del movimiento musical en San Francisco (y toda la Bahía), ya por muchos muchos años… ESTE Sábado 20 de Octubre nos vamos a presentar junto "The Barfeeders" cuales tocan un estilo jarcore punk rock n' rolero muy chingón, y la banda "Heavy Hindenburg" cuales tocan la música de la bandota Led Zeppelin en forma muy fuerte y muy sincera… Los invitamos a que salgan a pachangear con estos changos esa noche, como realmente va ser un reventón digno de nuestra querida raza, repleto con cheve, música, movimiento, y la buena vibra que todos necesitamos…

Con todo el pinche gusto del mundo les escribimos con la noticia de que POR FIN, su fiel y humilde Plebe, tenemos el placer de regresar a la frontera Mexicana y la área alrededor de Los Angeles este mesmito fin de semana!!!… Empezando ESTE Sábado 13 de Octubre (man~ana), regresamos a Tecate, Baja México por la primera vez en un an~o, cinco mezes y ocho días, donde nos vamos a presentar junto las bandas: Maniquí Lazer (Mexicali), Revolver 120 (Tijuana), Vaginas Suicidas (Tijuana), Damn you Peter Pan (Tecate), y One Step Hawai (Tijuana)!!! Invitamos a nuestra querida raza (que se encuentra por los dos lados de la pinche muralla), que por favor salgan esa noche junto con sus servidores (la pinche plebe de san pancho), para compartir en unas cheves y unas rolitas musicales… El día siguiente, Domingo 14 de Octubre, probablemente crudos pero contentos, nos lanzamos para la ciudad de Montebello California, donde vamos a tocar junto: Los+Kabrones, Mente Corrupta, No Que No, Highroots, Rum Boogie, Ekolekua, y Desentonados, en lugar (La Terraza Jamay), donde no hemos tocado en cinco an~os, cinco meses y un día… Este evento es una tardeada cual EMPIEZA TEMPRANO, con su fiel Plebe tocando alrededor de las 2:30 de la tarde, pero les sugerimos que POR FAVOR lleguen temprano para apoyar a todas la bandas… MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS!!!
We are very excited to be playing in the city of Tecate Baja México THIS Saturday October 13th (tomorrow), alongside some good bands from Tijuana, Mexicali and Tecate… It’s been a very long time since we’ve had the opportunity to play in ANY of the cities along the border, so this show is sure to be an exciting and special occasion for us… We would like to invite all of our beloved family and friends who find themselves living both far and close the US/Mexican border, to join us for a night of tacos, music, booze and smoke, as it’s sure to be a grand ol’ time that is not to be missed… We will be driving back north that following morning for a brief visit to the city of Montebello, for an early afternoon show which will start promptly at 1pm, and have your faithful Plebe playing at around 2:30pm… Please show up EARLY so as to support all of the bands, as it would be great to see all of our folks from far and wide, make it to this show as well… With nothing more for the moment, we THANK YOU very much, and we look forward to sharing some “caguamitas” with everyone this weekend… Salucita raza…

It’s been quite a while since we’ve last corresponded, and so we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for coming out and enjoying the nice weather and tasty booze alongside your faithful Plebe during the past few weeks… We have been very lucky to have played some amazing events recently, which included a Joe Strummer tribute show at the Bottom of the Hill featuring lotsa drinks, lotsa blood, and some Clash n’ Strummer songs to boot… Additionally, we played the Knockout on Mission Street in San Francisco for the very first time, we met up with the homeboys from Sekta Core in Monterey for a brief performance and a quick beer, we played the 10th anniversary Speakeasy Brewery show and walked away with our most precious bounty to date (5 cases of tasty ale to warm both our cackles and our livers alike), we stopped by the Oakland Metro to bid our new friends The DMR Twinz a very happy birthday, and we returned to Watsonville after a long absence to one of the most vibrant crowds which we’ve had the honor of playing before… All in all, it became even more evident to us that we are indeed a fortunate lot, forever indebted to the kindness and support which we continue to receive from our beloved family and friends... Thank you very much for trusting in us swarthy bastards, as it is deeply appreciated, and will not be forgotten…
A pasado un buen tiempesito desde que nos hemos comunicado justamente con ustedes, y ahora queremos tomar esta oportunidad para expresar nuestro agradecimiento por nuestra querida raza pachanguera que nos han acompan~ado en nuestros toquines mas recientes… Hemos tocado unos eventos muy especiales en los últimos meses, incluyendo un evento tributo al mero mero Joe Strummer donde la raza gozó de la buena música, cerveza fría y un ambiente amoroso por la vida y ejemplo del maestro Joe Strummer… Adicionalmente, también tuvimos la oportunidad de tocar en un nuevo lugar para nosotros, el “Knockout” de San Francisco alado de unas bandas muy chingonas, y bellas almas al presente… Tocamos con los compas de Sekta Core y Bolivar Vive en Monterey, tocamos el décimo aniversario de la cervecería “Speakeasy” en San Francisco, donde nos pagaron en cerveza y buena vibra hasta vomitar alegría… Regresamos para Watsonville donde la raza se prendió como nunca y el sudor dominó, y alimento la noche… Y finalmente tuvimos el honor de acompan~ar a nuestras nuevas carnalitas gemelitas, Las DMR Twinz en su día tan especial donde celebraron sus fechas de nacimiento, cual realmente fue una noche muy pero muy bella… Después de pasar tantas noches tan ebrias pero tan bonitas, su fiel y humilde Plebe nos sentimos más afortunados que nunca, por la consideración y apoyo que nos ha dado el pueblo local e internacional… Apreciamos tanto tanto tanto la forma en que nos han aceptado ya por varios an~os, que realmente son parte integral de lo que es nuestro viaje musical y social… Aquí estamos y seguiremos trabajando para el desarrollo de la música independiente con todo el corazón… El apoyo, amistad y buena vibra es muy apreciado por parte de sus servidores en La Plebe… Sinceramente, les damos nuestras GRACIAS!!!
And as if our most recent endeavors were not cause for celebration enough, we have some really cool events in the coming weeks which we are truly excited about… First up, we have 2 shows THIS coming Friday September 28th in San Francisco, one of which can be heard worldwide live on air via Berkeley’s own 94.1 KPFA www.kpfa.org, or locally in the Bay Area on the left side of the FM dial... The transmission will be captured live and direct from the New College of California’s Mission campus on Valencia Street in SF, and is open to the public of all ages and musical inclinations… Later that evening, we will be playing down the street at Amnesia, as part of Baxtalo Drom’s monthly Gypsy Punk night, hosted by the ladies of Ultra Gypsy, along with DJ Zeljko who will be rockin’ the Balkan beats for everyone that evening… On a side but very important note, we are sad to report that we are officially down to our very last bottle of rakija, which we originally secured on our last tour, and will be tipping before the Amnesia show in honor of our friends living in the Southern Eastern European Balkans… To those fine people who hosted us and helped us along our travels, we say Nadravje, Nazdrave, Zivili, Noroc, Thank You and Salud!… Please show up early and join us if you would like to taste some authentic, home made Macedonian fire water on the streets of San Francisco, as we Plebe blokes truly are a communal bunch, always ready and willing to share in a sip or two… This event will definitely be a festive affair, so please come out and bring yer dancing shoes and your musical thirst as the music will be rockin’ and our spirits will most definitely be high…
Les queremos avisar de que vamos a estar tocando 2 eventos ESTE Viernes 28 de Septiembre en la ciudad de San Francisco, cual el primero de los dos se va poder escuchar en vivo y directo por medio de la difusora 94.1 KPFA o en línea por medio del sitio www.kpfa.org... Estamos participando en el programa cultural “Radio Café” empezando a las 8pm en punto, donde vamos a tocar unas rolitas para nuestra querida gente, cual ahora si se encuentra por diferentes partes del mundo… El epicentro se encontrará en las instalaciones del “New College de California” por la calle Valencia entre la 17 y la 18, y resulta ser un evento que está abierto al público… Despuecito y más en la nochesita, nos vamos a mover unas cuadras para el lugar “Amnesia”, donde el evento Bextalo Drom nos han invitado a participar en su evento mensual de música gitano punk, cual realmente siempre resulta en una gran fiesta internacional… Lamentablemente, solo nos queda una botella mas del licor típico de los Balcanes que se llama rakija, cual nos regalaron mientras que estábamos de gira… Los invitamos a que lleguen temprano esa noche si quieren probar de este veneno casero junto con su fiel Plebe… Vamos a estar tomando por nuestros amigos viviendo y floreciendo por los diferentes países de los Balcanes, cual realmente nos trataron y cuidaron como familia durante nuestra gira, y es por ellos y su salud, que vamos a estar festejando esa noche… Nadravje, Nazdrave, Zivili, Noroc, Muchas Gracias y Salud!...

We are very honored to be participating in a tribute show, celebrating the life and music of Mr. Joe Strummer THIS Saturday September 1st at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco… Guitarist and vocalist for “the only band that matters” (The Clash), the impression and impact that he helped create in music and in life, will never be forgotten… So please come out and raise some pints in honor of the original punk rock rude boy, Mr. Joe Strummer, as we (and other great bands) play an evening of Strummer / Clash songs in commemoration of his passing… Que viva Joe Strummer cabrones!!!

We are very excited to announce that we will be having our official CD Release Party this Sunday August 19th at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco…!!! Please show up early, stay late, and be ready to indulge in some very good music, along with some potent grog… We will be showing up early so as to enjoy some pints with the early-birds, as well as to be musically intoxicated by our long time friend DJ Chaos, who is set to commence that evening with his finest musical selections… The doors will open at 8:30pm, with the needle dropping promptly thereafter, and the bands commencing shortly after 9pm… First to hit the stage will be the punk ska reggae cumbia sensation that is Bolivar Vive! from Monterey California, followed by San Jose's punk n' roll poets Whiskey Sunday, and rounded out by San Francisco's own Nothington, along with your faithful Plebe… To further increase this most worthy cause for celebration, we will also be bidding a fond farewell to our friend Celic (C.C. Chaos) as she defects from the left coast and heads east to pursue her scholastic endeavors in Philadelphia… We wish her the best, as she will be very far away from the Mission District's lovely tacos, tortas, quesadillas and burritos, so good luck sista…

As many of you already know, your faithful Plebe has landed safely back in the Bay after a month long jaunt around Mexico and the Eastern European Balkans… We had an incredible time jumping from Mexico City, to Guadalajara to Bucharest, to Belgrade, while playing many many points in between, and drinking even more beers and local spirits throughout the various lands which we were fortunate enough to visit… We played a lot of clubs, squats and festivals, did a lot of television, radio and press interviews, ate a lot of tacos, kebab sandwiches, salads and beans, drank a lot of beer, tequila, rakija and mastika, we drove over 10,000 kilometers, flew even more, played in 7 different countries, 2 distant continents, we bribed a border official or two, smoked alot, slept even less, we filmed some, we danced like fools, we occasionally puked, we shat like dump trucks, we saw old friends, and made some new ones too… A full tour report / book is in the works, along with a tour DVD so that our beloved family and friends can see with their very own eyes, the degree of madness and love that this tour encompassed… We haven't the words to properly express the gratitude and appreciation which we feel towards our friends in Mexico, the Balkans and Califaztlán… This experience has been unlike any other which we as a band have been fortunate enough to endure, and is something that we will work hard to tell the world about, in the hopes of creating a bridge, or exchange of music and ideas between these distant parts of the world… We saw the most beautiful stars underneath a dark sky on the shores of the Black Sea at 3am as we danced with thousands on the beach, we saw a volcano in Colima México billowing smoke as we drove towards a wonderful gig in Manzanillo, we saw the sun rise over Belgrade after staying up all night drinking and smoking with our Serbian friends, and akin to both Mexico and the Balkans, we saw young children standing under the hot sun in traffic, while selling sticks of gum in an attempt to help their families feed themselves… This trip was not only a punk rock musical adventure, but a very true and sincere cultural exchange that proved without a doubt, that we are all the fucking same… That, we know to be true…
Como mucho de ustedes ya lo saben, su fiel y humilde Plebe ya está de rebote en la Bahía, después de estar viajando más que un mes por nuestro querido México y los Balcanes del Este de Europa… Fue una experiencia increíble viajar por el centro de la República Mexicana, terminar en Guadalajara, y después salir de allí para Bucarest Rumania, donde empezó la segunda parte de nuestra gira… Tocamos en 7 países y 2 distintos continentes… Viajamos más que 10,000 kilómetros por carretera, y hasta mucho más por avión… Nos tocó pagar mordidas mientras que cruzábamos las fronteras en Serbia, Croacia y Bulgaria… Tomamos mucha cerveza, tequila, rakija y mástika, fumamos un chingo, dormimos muy poco, bailamos como idiotas, vomitamos un par de veces y cagamos violentamente… Comimos un chingo de tacos, tortas, frijoles y ensaladas… Nos reunimos con viejos amigos y conocimos a muchos nuevos… Filmamos todo el pinche viaje cual en el futuro muy cercano, saldrá como un DVD documental sobre toda la gira y un poco sobre la banda… Pronto van a poder ver con sus propios ojos todo el desmadre y las ocurrencias muy locas que nos pasó mientras que viajábamos por el mundo, crudos pero contentos… Vimos las estrellas a las 3 de la mañana bajo un cielo muy oscuro, mientras que bailamos junto miles de personas en la playa del Mar Negro… Vimos al volcán en Colima tirando humo mientras que manejábamos así a Manzanillo donde nos presentamos allí por primera vez… Vimos el sol salir en Belgrado Serbia después de estar despiertos toda la noche, tomando, fumando y parlando con la raza del barrio, e igual como en México, vimos a los morros de pocos años trabajando por las calles de los Balcanes, vendiendo chicles y limpiando las ventanas de los autos, tratando de ayudar a su familia alimentarse y sobrevivir… La gira nos sirvió para reafirmar lo que siempre hemos sabido y siempre a sido muy obvio, que todos somos iguales, que todos sufrimos, y que los pinches gobiernos nos siguen chingando … El viaje fue más que una gira punkueta, sino en realidad era mas como un intercambio cultural donde la gente joven, y hasta los viejitos también, realizó un puente internacional, completamente autogestionado, y con el apoyo total del pueblo artístico… Fue una hermosura poder ser parte de tanta belleza, y de tanto esfuerzo honesto y humilde… Les damos las gracias a toda la gente con quienes convivimos sea un breve momento, o hasta todo el pinche mes… Siempre estarán en nuestros corazones, y nunca nos vamos a olvidar de esta experiencia, eso es la neta…
On another note, we are very excited to announce that our new album "Hasta La Muerte" will be released in the United States on Tuesday July 24th by the super independent label Red Scare Records, and in the rest of the galaxy by the international powerhouse that is Kool Arrow Records… To commemorate this very special occasion, we will be having our OFFICIAL CD RELEASE PARTY at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco on SUNDAY August 19th which will surely be an unadulterated, turbocharged true fiesta… We will announce the final lineup for this event in the coming days, which will include some of the best and most genuine bands that we have the privilege of knowing… Additionally, alberto (that's me), will be DJing and drinking alongside Scott Alcoholocaust THIS Tuesday July 24th at the Argus Lounge, also in celebration of the release of our new rekid… 5 copies of the album will be given away that night, to the very 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th person to stop by and say hello, so please come down and raise a pint or two…

It's been much too long since our last comunicado, and so we apologize for the lack of correspondence on our behalf… We Plebe blokes have been working very hard in preparation for our upcoming summer tour of Central Mexico and the Eastern European Balkans, as well as the release of our very FIRST full length album ever… Needless to say, we have been keepin' busy, tending to the many aspects of both tour organization, as well as the whole recording process, which will hopefully yield a good album, worthy of our beloved family and friends around the world… We have decided to name this album "¡Hasta La Muerte!", which loosely translates into "To The Death!", with songs that reflect the many beers, and the many struggles which plague our communities around the world… The musical material spans a couple of our earliest unrecorded songs, up to our most recent compositions, all recorded with our sincerest efforts… So please keep your eyes out for it, once it's out…

This album was recorded at Motor Studios in San Francisco, once again under the guidance and production of our friend Bill Gould (Faith No More / Brujería), with engineering under the care of our friend Jamie Mcmann, with many other friends assisting on many levels… From the occasional beer run, to washing the dishes, to delivering food and other herbal "remedies", THANK YOU to everyone who had a finger or a fist (ouch!), in the development of this album… We truly feel that this record is a collective product of the drinking class, and not just an individual voice from our cruddy ol' band… It will eventually be available in the United States on July 24th, under the label imprint of Red Scare Records, which is ran by our friend and label impresario Tobias Jeg… As far as the European continent (and some other territories as well), the album will be released under the label imprint of Kool Arrow Records, which is our friend Bill's label, and the home to some amazing international acts… In México, the unreleased album is probably already bootlegged and available at El Chopo, alongside Spider Man 3 and Shrek 3, so keep your eyes out for that one…

To celebrate this very special occasion, and in an attempt to further spread our music and ideas, we are once again hitting the road, back to the old continent that is the Eastern European Balkans, as well as a return back to the "madreland", for a tour of Central Mexico as well… We are excited beyond words to have an opportunity such as this to join these 2 tours, and are preparing heavily by drinking as much booze as possible, and staying up waaaaay past our usual bedtimes (7 pm), in an attempt to condition our physiques for the long haul that lies ahead… We figure that by the time we hit the road, we should be ready for the perpetual hangover that these travels usually seem to invite… So PLEASE check out our websites for updated tour information and other show confirmations, as we are finalizing some events as we speak… So far, we are set to play with some old friends, new friends, and those we have yet to meet, including some great festivals and mini-tours along the way… We will be supporting Strike Anywhere on some Romanian and Bulgarian dates, we are meeting up with our Argentine homeboys Karamelo Santo in Croatia at the Dirty Old Festival, we are playing with the pop act Pink in Bucharest at the B'estival, and we are meeting up with many other beautiful family and friends around various states throughout Mexico… In order to properly document the madness that this tour is sure to encompass, our long standing friend and documentarian Isaías Rodríguez, has made the unwise decision to travel with us and gather material for an upcoming tour documentary, to be released by his visual arts company, Chuevo.tv… We look forward to working on that project whence we return, and providing our family and friends a "tourside" view of San Francisco, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Kosovo, Slovenia, and many other points in between…

Saturday's show in Mexicali was unfortunately cancelled due to some unbenknownst reason and so, with a couple days left before the weekend, we have decided to book a last minute Saturday show at "The Stag" in Woodland California… With such little time to promote this show, we are asking our folks in Davis, Sacramento, Woodland and it's surrounding areas, to please help us spread the word… We are excited to be playing Woodland California THIS Saturday December 2nd, for the very first time… We apologize to the folks in Chikali who were expectin' to see us this upcoming weekend, we'll try our best to play there some time soon… muchisimas gracias…

Also, we would like to
thank everybody who was present at any one of our most
recent shows, during the very active Halloween / Día de
los Muertos week… We played 5 shows in 4 days, which
included an impromptu generator show inside of Clarion
alley, a street festival in Fruitvale, a Zapatista
benefit in Oakland, a cultural event at La Peña in
Berkeley, and a drunken bar show at El Rio in San
Francisco… All in all, many pints (and blatters) were
drained, cigarettes smoked, pipes packed, and
instruments played, in honor of our beloved family and
friends…

that Oakland’s very own Golden Bull, will be having it’s VERY
LAST SHOW EVER, THIS
SUNDAY October 8th, 2006… They have apparently lost their lease
and so, are being forced to close their doors for good, making
THIS show, the
last Golden Bull shindig ever!!!... In customary Sunday show
tradition, this event will again start early (around 7pm), and
ultimately wind down far before the last BART train has left the
station… For those of you that haven’t experienced a true
Sunday show at the Golden Bull, we beg that you not deprive
yourself of the experience… BART is the recommended form of
transportation to this show, as the station is so close that one
could easily be "puking" the whole way, while walking from one
spot to the other (so I’ve heard (wink wink)),
as it’s that close…

We have two excellent shows coming up THIS weekend, which we have been really looking forward to… The first show is on Friday the 21st at La Perla in “Old Town” Salinas, where it always gets hot as hell, and the kids sure do know how to have a good time… The 2nd show brings us back here to the city of San Francisco, for a hot night of punk n’ roll at the local watering hole WITH the very nice patio… A great place to quench your thirst WHILE you listen to some great music, we will be at “El Rio” on Saturday July 22nd playing alongside Go Like Hell from Seattle and Ironhead from Virginia!!!… The first show is strictly for the sertifiable youth (and above), while the 2nd is for us drunken rabble rousing ol’ timer scofflaws that are indeed, 21 and over (cheers)… Fuga has just been added to the already great show in Salinas and so, dust off yer dancin’ shoes, as I’m sure that BOTH shows will truly be a rockin’… This weekend looks to be a bit brutal, so please start preparin’, and take the necessary steps so as to minimize injury… The boys would like to invite everybody to please come out, raise some pints, maybe a little hell, and do a bit a dancin’ alongside your faithful plebe… We’d appreciate it very much… MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS!!!

Les enviamos saludos, y un fuerte abrazo desde los barrios de San Pancho, para nuestra querida raza que hoy en día, se encuentra por diferentes países y territorios, de este pinche mundo dividido… ES por ustedes, NUESTRA querida raza que su fiel plebe se mueve, y tratamos de NO parar de trabajar… PERO después de regresar del Sur Este de esos mentados territorios Europeos, TUBIMOS que tomar unas semanas de descanso para poder recuperrar y refleccionar, sobre nuestros días viajando como parte de la gira, “Sin Fronteras Tour”… La experiencia realmente fué un halucín visual y emocional para todos nosotros en la banda, como pronto pudimos ver, que la vida en Los Balcanes (como la vida en México y todo Latino América), es MUY DIFICIL, pero muy bella… La naturaleza y la belleza entre las personas que conozimos, nos dió la fuerza y el ánimo para tocar fuerte en cada presentación que tubimos el honor de participar… Conocimos a un chingo de gente chida, que respeta y conoze mucho la historia de Las Américas… Pudimos ver con los ojos abiertos y el corazón entregado (lo que siempre a sido muy óbvio), que todos somos iguales, y que todos hemos sufrido… Punky’s, Rudos, Skatos, Metaleros, Darky’s, Roqueros, Reggaetoneros, Rapperos, Folkloristas, Anarquistas y todos los de más, estaban presente y el viaje fué una hermosura…
We have been back from our “Sin Fronteras Tour” for a couple weeks now, as we took a little time off to rest n’ re-hydrate, before once again rejoining our family and friends around the bay… Our tour was inspirational to say the least, and quite possibly our most intense musical journey to date… We drank a lot of beer and rakija, we ate a lot, we smoked too many cigarettes (not enough herb), didn’t sleep much, played a show or two, and met a lot of incredibly beautiful people along the way… Respect and love to the people of Skopje (Macedonia), Štip (Macedonia), Tetovo (Macedonia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Timişoara (Romania), Bucharest (Romania), Ploieşti (Romania), Belgrade (Serbia), and last but most certainly not least Kosovska Mitrovica!!! The tour was like a dream, but better…
Tomamos mucha cerveza, tomamos mucho rakija, fumamos mucho tabaco (no suficiente hierba), dormimos poco, comimos mucho, y tubimos el honor de tocar con muchas bandas cabronsísimas… Les enviamos nuestro agradecimiento y mucho amor, a la raza de Skopje (Macedonia), Štip (Macedonia), Tetovo (Macedonia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Timişoara (Romania), Bucharest (Romania), Ploieşti (Romania), Belgrade (Serbia), y Kosovska Mitrovica!!! Our musical/cultural adventure included many radio, television and press interviews in various languages, throughout many cities… The boys were actually received quite well by the respective locals, and free beer for the band was the hospitable standard throughout the land (ouch and many thanks)… In what has thankfully become customary plebe good fortune, we out maneuvered our rivals in both the Police Force and Border Patrol MOST of the time, and despite losing our brother Antonio (Tron) for a few gigs at the Bulgarian/Romanian border, we only had to bribe ONE single law man, throughout our extensive travels (not too shabby)…
Su fiel plebe y nuestra batalla contra la chota y los para-militares (migra) aún sigue… Igual como en México durante la última gira, solo sufrimos UNA “mordida” por medio de los militares fronterizos, mientras que “la poli” nos revisó 2 veces en Serbia, sin encontrar razón para detenernos… Desafortunadamente, tubimos que dejar a nuestro querido hermano Antonio (trombonista) en Bulgaria, mientras que el resto de la banda se lanzaba para Romania, donde tubimos que tocar sin un miembro de la banda, por que como ciudadano Méxicano, le faltaba la visa necesaria para entrar a ese país… Fué un momento muy triste para nosotros como familia PERO en final, todo salió MUY bien, y la gira continuó…

Greetings to the workers of the world...
Without the words to properly
express the MADNESS that we have experienced in THESE past 13 days,
we have to say that first of all, the tour thus far, has been more
incredible than anything that we could have ever imagined...
Last night's show in Sofia Bulgaria was truly a thing of beauty... It was
hotter than hell in a place that holds about a thousand folks, as we had the
privelage to play in front of a very hungry crowd, and alongside some
amazing bands... ALL the shows have been astounding to say the least, while
the countryside and the people too, have been quite beautiful... We are
short of applying for Bulgarian citizenship, as THIS country (as well as ALL
which we have visited), is a thing of beauty...
Now on to the madness...
Our beautiful brother Antonio (tron) and his epic saga, has not ceased to
continue... Once AGAIN, the humble Mexican citizen, gets NO love, while
trying to cross international borders within the EAST, of the VERY EAST of
Eastern Europe... Consequently, (after some very HEAVY n' THICK tears), we
were forced to bid farewell to our brother Tron upon leaving Bulgaria, with
the band continuing onto our very first round of shows in Romania... Because
the Romanian embassy and it's computers were not functioning on THAT
faithful day in which we were trying to get our brother his necessary visa,
we were FORCED to leave him behind in Bulgaria, as the rest of YOUR very
sad, and faithful plebe continued the tour, onto Bucharest Romania... AND
SO, we are sorry (and saddened) to say that the very first three shows of
this tour, were without our brother, and corazon of the band... It was the
toughest and heaviest thing which we as a band, have ever had to experience
(we mean that sincerely)...
BUT, nonetheless, because of our commitment to the promoters (whom had
invested all their money and efforts into these shows), your faithful plebe
actually played a few shows without one of it's members (and it was truly
sad)... FORTUNATELY though, we were reunited once again in Belgrade, Serbia
(after much beauracracy), in a city where war-torn buildings still stand,
compliments of the good ol' U.S. of A ("tax dollars")...
We apologize for the lack of updates and pictures thus far (we will try to
do better), but travelin' and playin' can sometimes be kinda hard...
SO PLEASE, do not forget that YOUR faithful plebe is still workin' hard, and
trying to do what's right... Be natural and live free... No matter what your
government and friends tell ya... This is your life...
SO NOW,
The band is together, and we are trying our very best to truly rock hard (no
sexual innuendo intended)... The cities which we have visited thus far, have
been beautiful... THIS, has been quite an experience...
Brothers and sisters, PLEASE be kind to each other... Go out at night and
have fun... Listen to live music and enjoy each others company if you can...

para expresar nuestro sentimiento, sobre ESTE alucin que es la gira "Sin
Fronteras Tour", les decimos que la gira hasta hoy, a sido mas loco de
qualquier cosa que hemos pudido imaginar...
La noche anterior, tocamos en Sofia Bulgaria en un lugar donde mil personas
(o mas???), bailaron, gozaron, y tomaron como su fiel plebe, nunca hemos
visto (con todo respeto a la gente que nos han visto anteriormente)... Fue
una pinche belleza estar en la presencia de esta raza TAN pachanguera
(sinceramente)...
Y ahora, les platicamos UN POCO, sobre "La batalla" (lo que fue, lo mas
desagradable)...
Nuestro querido hermano Antonio (corazon del grupo), otra vez fue detenido
al entrar a un pais (Romania), por el simple hecho de haber nacido en
nuestro querido pais de Mexico... Aparentemente, el humilde Mejicano sigue
siendo un elemento desagradable en los ojos de los politicos que manejan
este mundo (que chingen a su pinche madre ((perdon, pero cierto))...
ENTONCES, las primeras 3 presentaciones con su fiel plebe de san pancho,
(por estos lares), se realizaron sin la presencia de nuestro querido carnal
Antonio... Les decimos honestamente, que SOLO por tener el compromiso con
los promoteres que tomaron el papel de tratar de hacer un evento muy
exitoso, su fiel plebe de san pancho, toco por primera vez, sin todos los
elementos musicales (un espectaculo muy triste)... ENTONCES, con lagrimas en
los ojos, y un dolor muy profundo en el corazon, TUBIMOS que dejar a nuestro
querido carnalito Antonio en Bulgaria, mientras que el resto de su fiel
plebe, le dimos duro para Bucarest Romania para tocar...
Afortunadamente, por fin, y despues de varios dias de tocar, nos reunimos
con nuestro carnalito Antonio en Belgrade Serbia, donde la gente es muy
chingona, aunque han sufrido mucho, por medio del pinche gobierno
Estadounidense, que los han castigado sin razon...
Les escribimos mas muy pronto...
Con mas detalles sobre nuestra gira "Sin / Con Fronteras Tour"... Pero no se
preocupen, el pueblo siempre es fuerte, y vamos a sobresalir...

So as it seems (beautiful family
and friends), Mejicanos have a rough time getting into Bulgaria... To make a
LONG story super SHORT, Antonio (tron), (the only one of us born in the
"madreland"), needs a special visa to enter this country... SO,
consequently, the poor lad was held in complete isolation for over 6 hours
at the airport, while the rest of the boys drank beer... We waited and
waited and waited... FINALLY, after playing a few tunes for the customs
folks (and a good chunk of change later), "the boy" earned his freedom, and
we were once again reunited with our long lost brother (and corazon of the
band)...
Los primeros momentos en Sofia Bulgaria, empezaron raramente... Nuestro
carnalito (el mero mero "hombre bala") Tron / Antonio / trombonista, fue
detenido en el aeropuerto de Sofia Bulgaria, al primer momento que entramos
a este pais... Aparentemente, el humilde Mejicano, necesita visa especial
para entrar a Bulgaria... Entonces, despues de esperar 6 horas (y haber
tocado unas pocas rolas para los oficiales del aeropuerto), liberaron a
nuestro querido hermano, y pudimos seguir con la gira...

It tastes a bit like tequila, but packs quite a larger punch...

practicing hard and preparing for the series of upcoming events, which are
sure to push our music (and alcohol tolerance), to the very brink…

First and foremest, we are meeting up THIS Friday, May 5th 2006
(mañana), with the tallest drink in town, whom goes boy the name of Scott
Alcoholocaust, for his Cinco de Mayo show at Annie’s Social Club (ex-Covered
Wagon) in San Francisco… It’s always quite dangerous when the plebe boys
meet up with this lad, so please rest assured, that we will definitely be in
the highest of spirits on this faithful day… To add a bit of
danger (and high performance athletic gear) into the mix, our friends
from Love Songs have also been commissioned to rock that night, alongside
another very good band by the name of King City, which includes members of
RKL and Hammers of Misfortune…

The physical world has bid farewell to one of its kindest, toughest, and
sweetest human beings, that we had the honor of calling a friend… Our
homeboy, brother, and resident “arms expert”, Bruce Webb of the group
Eskapo, passed away this last Wednesday morning (March 1st), resting in his
sleep, after a lifelong battle with illness… He was truly the strongest and
most selfless person that I had the privilege of knowing, and he already is,
sorely missed… We love you hermano, your memorial service was beautiful,
and we will always keep you in our hearts… Please say hi to your Papa for
us, as he too, was one swell guy…

Hace 7 días que lamentamos el fallecimiento de nuestro carnal y compañero
Bruce Webb, del grupo Eskapo… Después de sufrir y batallar contra una
enfermidad muy dolorosa toda su vida, nuestro hermano Bruce, se reunió con
sus difuntos, este pasado Miércoles, 1ero de Marzo por la mañana… Su
fuerza, tiernura y nobleza, sirvió como un ejemplo para toda esta bola de

We have had an incredibly fun year in 2005 (its not over yet), and were fortunate to be in the company of the most beautiful folks from around the world… WE are very very very grateful to anyone and everyone who has ever been to a show… To those faithful friends whom like to raise pints at live shows (and do so often, cheers), WE thank you… The last show at the Bottom of the Hill was truly great, though a splash bit bloody for my taste… Thank you to Compton SF, Code 4-15, Ramona Downey, and all of the Bottom of the Hill staff for being so nice…

Next day, Saturday December 31st, 2005 in San Francisco, we are having our first annual “New Year’s Eve Punk Rawk Cumbia Gala Event!” at Balazo18 Gallery on Mission and 18th… Featuring hats, noisemakers, balloon drop, doo dads n’ such, we are excited about ringin’ in the New Year alongside our friends Fuga and Love Songs… This too is an ALL AGES event, sure to swing, and recommended for those of you who like to toast… There will be prizes, surprises, booze, baile and tacos (weather permitting)… This is going to be a very fun New Year’s Eve event, we are giddy, and hope that y’all can make it…
